If there is one thing we have learned in our years of activity here at Nimbus, the one thing we know for sure... genius in creativity starts in the simplest of places. We have also seen that when you throw any creative process out into the terrain of this community and step back to allow people to piece their ideas together, that not only do great artworks get produced, but also relationships are created, and unexpected.
This is why we have launched our "hundreds of hands" art program, a series of collaborative art installations created for and by YOU. The goal is to spread art skill, share artistic vision, and collaborate with many to execute public art. We believe a healthy community is a connected community, and know this is a wonderful way for Nimbus to contribute to both. We are very proud and overwhelmed by the over 200 hands that touched and completed our 9/11 commemorative mosaic sculpture, which now stands at the Napa Valley Museum.
We are grateful for the opportunity to have shared and created this sculpture with the Napa Valley Museum, The Pathway Home veterans group, Grassi Construction Team, Pacific Stone Cutters, Tom Amato's Howell Mountain School group, the Nimbus artist conceptual team, and the 40+ community members that helped piece together this mosaic wonder.
We are so inspired by Gaudi's architectural masterpiece, "La Sagrada Familia," which is expected to be to be worked on by thousands of hands for the next 100 years. His art continues beyond his life, and is touched by many hands. Likewise we are creating another opportunity for you to join us with our new "hundreds of hands" project currently underway. This beautiful 10 foot tree of life mosaic sculpture, to be unveiled at our Dia de los Muertos event October 30th, is now ready for you and your hands. Join us to help to piece together another community masterpiece!
See you soon!
