What could better than meandering along streams and wandering the pastoral fields of Napa Valley to paint and sketch! Plein Air”, literally translated, from the French term meaning “in the open air”… was coined in the late 1800s when the Impressionists ventured out of their studios into nature to investigate and capture the effects of sunlight and lighting on a subject. In this outdoorsy camp we will travel afield (literally jump in cars and travel by foot) to let nature guide us through the same journeys that inspired the likes of Monet, Pissaro and Renoir!
