Although we are
surrounded by photographic images, photography is a relatively new medium,
invented only in the nineteenth century. Photography has traditionally
functioned to document the world around us, but in recent years artists have
begun using photography in new and unexpected ways, merging photography with
sculpture, performance, and abstraction. This talk examines the work of some of
the most compelling practitioners of this “new photography.” $25  (student and teacher price available
