These delicately decorated Easter eggs are created using a wax-resist (batik) method. The word pasanky comes from the verb pysaty, “to write”, as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. This art form, embraced in Russia and the Ukraine, has made its way to Nimbus Arts so you can create beautiful geometric or abstract eggs. Using beeswax, dye and special tools, each egg becomes a work of art. (This craft is quite technical requiring ample patience and the use of hot wax). $35
